Our Connected-Bike Privacy Commitment

When enabled, Cybovolt smart features may process bike location, ride-status, security-alert, and diagnostic information to provide services such as live GPS location, geofencing, theft alerts, keyless access, navigation, bike status, and fault detection.

Cybovolt does not sell precise GPS location, ride diagnostics, fault records, or theft-alert data to data brokers or insurance providers. We do not use this connected-bike data for targeted advertising.

5. Precise Location and Connected-Bike Data

Some Cybovolt products may include optional smart hardware and app features. Depending on the model, configuration, permissions, and services enabled, these features may process precise location and connected-bike information.

When location information may be used

When enabled or requested, location information may be used to provide:

  • Live GPS location;
  • Navigation tools;
  • Geofence alerts;
  • Movement, towing, and theft alerts;
  • Security-related app notifications; and
  • Customer-support assistance when reasonably necessary.
Your controls

You may be able to manage applicable permissions through your app settings, mobile-device settings, or available product settings. Disabling a permission or feature may limit the functionality of the related connected-bike service.

How we protect connected-bike privacy
  • We limit use of precise location and ride-status data to purposes reasonably necessary to provide requested features, maintain security, support customers, comply with law, or protect our rights;
  • We do not sell precise GPS location, ride diagnostics, fault records, or theft-alert data to data brokers or insurance providers;
  • We do not use precise GPS location, ride diagnostics, fault records, or theft-alert data for targeted advertising; and
  • We retain connected-bike data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the applicable purpose, subject to legal and operational requirements.

Please note: GPS, geofencing, alarm, and theft-deterrence features provide additional information and convenience. They do not guarantee uninterrupted service, theft prevention, recovery of a stolen product, or emergency assistance.

6. How We Disclose Personal Information

We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 for targeted advertising without the affirmative authorization required by applicable law.

Precise geolocation may be treated as sensitive personal information under certain laws. Cybovolt uses precise GPS location only as described in this Privacy Policy and does not sell precise GPS location, ride diagnostics, fault records, or theft-alert data to data brokers or insurance providers.

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including providing products and services, maintaining records, preventing fraud, resolving disputes, and meeting legal obligations.
